Well folks fishing has improved since the week of doom. Most of our trips are seeing decnt short action with a pick of keepers mixed in. Blow are some recent pictures. We will see what this week brings with the pending forcast. Tight Lines
Im happy to say fishing was much better today. The crew was able to box up 10 keeps. Not bad for only 12 fishermen in the bay. Sailing Friday 7/31 7AM, MAGIC HOURS 5 to 9 Thursday, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 4 to 8. Reservation Required . Tommy K won the Pool.
Well folks it been awhile since my last report. If you fluke fished this year in the bay you know way. There have been more difficult days than I would like to admit. We been covering alot local ground with the same results a few shorts and an odd keeper. However Sunday nights trip saw a better short bite as did the tonights trip. Sunday we managed a half dozen keepers and tonight with a small crowd we landed 4, the short actrion was much better. Our charters this weekend struggled . Todays' charter the NPFD had two good drifts the 1st and the last, which produced 5 out of the 6 keepers. Praying for a influx of fluke.
Sailing Open Friday 7/31AM - Magic Hours WED-THUR- 5 to 9PM SAt and Sun 4 to 8 PM- Reservations required.
Well its been a week of ups and downs. Fluke fishing overall has been challenging and this past week is no differen. Since ths passing of the new moon things have improved slightly. Dan Garcia (Fair Lawn) won the pool on Sunday night beating out his wife, Tuesday Gary Lannon with a 5 .3 pounder both magic hour trips. Wednesday Am trip saw a few anglers with luck, Andy Liss (Fair Lawn) 2 keeps, Ronnie Scaletti (North Brunswick) with a single for the plate and new comer Elijah G from Toms River with 2 keeps and the pool fish. Wednesday evening trip didnt do well fishing in the storm. The forecast was pretty accurate for a change.
Sorry its been a few days since our last report. For us the old phrase, A bad day of fishing beats a good day ay work was definetly tested this past week. Fluke fishing has been tought to say the least only seeing a few keepers a trip and some blanks on our night trips. Short action has also been on the slow side . Wednesday and Thursday night saw rough conditions as in rock & roll and little drift. Thursday and Saturday evenng trip saw only shorts. LHFD had their annual trip this past saturday and at times it was like watching ice melt. We managed a. half dozen for the cooler and a pick of sharks and shorts. Weather wise you couldn't ask for a better day. Sundays' chartered opted to go porgy fishing. It wasnt lights out drop and reel but if was definetly better than fluke fishing. The Marretta group was just shy of a 100. Fishing Open Boat Wednesday -Thursday 7AM - Magic Hours Tue - Wed- Thursday 5 to 9, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY 4 to 8.
