Yesterday we fished offshore - well at least for the Misty Morn. 18 miles from the Dock - Holy Cow. It was very nice to see a few more keepers hit the deck both fluke and sea bass. Overall it was pretty good day despit the rain. Roy R had his limit on the second drift with three beauties and Sebastion Hoyos from Dover won the pool with a three pounder. Magic Hours - saw a pick a shorts. Alex Bergollo from Highland Park won the pool with a 3.6 pound fluke.

Well fishing in the bay has been a grind as of late. If conditions are there for a decent drift we pick away at shorts and see a few keeps mixed in. The WInes/Mckeon family made the best at a soggy day landing 5 keeps and picking away at shorts, Kyle showed up his twin Kevin by winning the pool. - The Essex Sheriffs trips enjoyed their 1st trip aboard with a few keeps and a decent pick of shorts. The Griggs family trip left in the rain and returned in the rain with just enough nice weather in between to fish. Linden Fire Local 34 enjoyed a beautiful day on the water with great conditions. The shorts bit all day as well as 7 keeprs to 3.5 lbs. Pool winner Brian Pericone. Sailing Wednesday and Friday 7AM. Bring your heavy stuff we will be fishing the Ocean.
Big Shots Bar enjoyed a crazy pick of 80 shorts for the first hour with a odd keeper. As conditions eroded with the changed the bite slowed. Traveled east to find slow fishing. All had a great time. Pool winner Lorrie Delorenzo 2.2 lbs. Wednesday's Magic Hour sailed with a small contingent of fishermen - the short action was good as it has been. CJ Boo landed a keep and Rich M. East Brunswick boated 2 which included the poo fish.
Well its been one of those weeks were the boat was tied to the dock, more than it sailed. We managed a few trips between Tropical storm Isasis, Coast Guard Inspection, and power failure to the rail bridge. For the trips that did make it out, fishing is still slow seeing a few keepers on day trips and fewer on night trips. When conditions are favoralbe we have plenty of action in the back bay. Recent Pool winners Bad Ed from Randolph, Ed Lubanski Toms River, Janos Rampino from Manalapan.
Below are pictures from the week.
Well folks fishing has improved since the week of doom. Most of our trips are seeing decnt short action with a pick of keepers mixed in. Blow are some recent pictures. We will see what this week brings with the pending forcast. Tight Lines
