This mornings fluke charter (Teamsters 177) encountered a slow drift, however we were still able to put together a decent catch. Shorts were hard to come by, but the fellas aboard were happy and so were we. We had quality fish up to 8 pounds with limits and others having multiple keeps.
Raritan Bay Fluke Fishing, Last nights Magic hour Fluke trip was productive with several nice fish being landed. Unfortunately the short action was off. We pounded the ground and picked our way to a respectable catch. Tony T won the pool with a 6.7 pound fluke picture in blue, Marlee Lasko sporting two keeps, and another youngster Jack Kadlac with a keep.
Last night we sailed with a light crowd. We had a southeast wind with the incoming tide, we had a slider of a drift. However we faired well, having more keepers than people. Gavin Braine of Sayreville won the pool.
Last night was a another good fluking trip. We saw some nice fish come over our rails up to 6.5lbs. We had a couple of 4lbers as well. Danny took the pool with a 6.5lb fluke. Kaylee had her first fishing experience last night, she caught a nice flattie, and an even better memory. It was a great night.
