Magic Hours Charter 6/24. We had the Sratton Family and Friends extravaganza out last night for another solid catch of fluke. The bite has been slow but steady with a healthy number of keepers coming over the rails.
Raritan Bay fluke fishing: We had another day of good fluking this morning aboard the Misty Morn. Fishing was best in the morning before the tide change and before the wind picked up. Some nice sized flatties were caught with a 7.5lber taking the pool. 12yr old Shane took 2nd place with a 6.5lber. Keith McGrath was today's pool winner and is now leading the Misty Morn Masters pool.
Well another Magic Hour Open Boat trip is in the books. The forecast put the ka-bosh to allot of peoples plans from the numbers we saw tonight, however for the few that showed most were rewarded with decent fishing.
This mornings fluke charter (Teamsters 177) encountered a slow drift, however we were still able to put together a decent catch. Shorts were hard to come by, but the fellas aboard were happy and so were we. We had quality fish up to 8 pounds with limits and others having multiple keeps.
