Yesterday morning we had Staten Island AOH aboard. A lot of shorts were caught, along with Sea Robbins and the occasional sand shark. We moved around quite a bit, but the fluke gods stuck it to us yesterday morning. It was a pretty tough day. Mike Mcginniss from Randolph, NJ won the pool.
Perfect conditions last night lead two one of our better magic trips in awhile when considering the number of keepers landed. We had decent short action in the beginning until the drift became tooooooo fast.
8/13 WOA fishing club was aboard for a day of sweating and a little fishing. Good short action all day with a keeper mixed in here and there. We now know that there is some truth the the old verbiage, even a blind squirrel will find a nut or two. WAA win the pool.
B & W Construction was aboard for a Company trip with family and friends. Unfortunately the fishing was on the very slow side. Shorts provided some action with a few keepers mixed in. It was a hot one today, even on the water.
