Best fishing we have seen in a few days - Fred Farris was high hook with 5 keepers ORL, Ken was our second Limit, Melanie and Cathy both had pairs, while several other had a fish for dinner. We ended the day with 18 keepers and about 80 to 100 shorts. Steve Blazak won the pool with a 4.1 pound fluke. It was a great day on the water. Especially with out Mike G complaining all day.

Saturday Open Boat AM- zSailed out to the ocean only to fine very difficult conditions with the run off and the approching new moon current. It was tough holding bottom. Fishing was on the slow side only seeing about 40 shorts and 8 keeps for the day. James Rampino won the pool. Ken and Mike both had a pair of nice keepers
Saturday night we sailed our last Magic Hours trip. Poor conditions continued and fishing was slow. 3 keeps for the night. This Lucky Lady had the pool winner and another keeper.
Sunday Open Boat - To rollie to fish the ocean - fished the knoll with must people seeing some short fluke action, an occasional skate or Sea Robin. Ken and Melanie put on a show landing the only four keepers for the day. Melanie was the pool winner making up for her poor showing on Saturday.
Sunday nght Magic hours - very slow only saw a few throwbacks and the same could be said for Monday nights charter. Monday's day trip saw better action all around with short seabass and short fluke. We managed 7 keeper fluke and 8 keeper seabass. Monday's conditions were not ideal, the bottom current was much stronger than the top, making holding bottom difficult. I think with better conditions we would of saw much better result. MIsty Morn Masters $1160.
Today we made it out, but were limited to the areas we could fish bc of the roll. We started in the back with the hopes of better conditions once the tide changed and the roll laid down we could move out. Well by the time the roll subsided it was to late to venture east. We pounded the grounds in the back, seeing only a few keeps and about 15 shorts. Hoping to get back out into the ocean tomorrow. Pool WInner and limit Bill Lehman 2.9 # and Pete from Upstate had the other keeper. Sailing open tomorrow Monday 8/30 Wlak ons welcome.
Magic Hours THursday Night 8/26
We sailed to the area that we have been seeing good action too find slower fishing than the previous night. We only managed about 25 shorts and thought we were going to post a donut. Charles Hull from Keyport bailed me out with a keeper tow minutes before the final whistle. Thanks Charlie
Friday 8/27 Open Boat, Slow pick in the morning with some real quality late in the day. It was the trip that saw the $1160 Master pool have three lead changes during the course of the day. Cathy Melillo strikes first with a 5.3 mat, only to be outdown by Victor Ortiz with a 5.6 mat, Hubby Mike Melillo put the icing on the cake when he landed the pool fish for the day with a 8.4 mat. Other notable catches Dev Scott landed her first two keeper fluke ever(making memories), Chris Sidewinder Shukis also landed a pair to 4 pounds(BOTTOM HA). Husband and wife duo Ken and Melody both landed twin 3.8 pounders. Melody also had her limit for the day. End of the day tally 15 fish 3.8, 3.8, 4.0. 5.3, 5.6, and 8.4 pounds. Not bad for for 15 ppl.
