Tuesday night a few shorts and a single keeper. Not good by any means. Wednesday's trips started off with shark attack, over 150 Sharks during the slack water bite with a bunch of skates mixed in. Our patrons kept at it and mangaed a few keeps for the box. Phil from Hillsborough won thw pool Tuesday night. Alex Day from North Brunswick took the pool on Wednesday.3/7 LBS

We had a few members of the Jersey City Fire Department aboard with their kids today. Tough fishing agian in the back waters. We saw more action as we moved east but it was mostly dogs. By days end we only landed a handful of keepers and about a dozen shorts. The pool was split by twin 2.8 pound flukes, landed by G Bayville and Rich Dumont. We will be back at it tomorrow sailing open 7AM.

Sunday nights trip was slow, slow, slow, slow!!!! The last two days its been tough putting a catch together during the day trip which is seven hours long , trying to do it in four hours last night with bad conditionsthe last 2.5 hours was impossible. We were lucky Jessica Wellner landed a keeper because that was the only one. Short action was also slow. The only good thing is the sun came up this morning and all is well. We will keep trying.

Well in life there are ups and downs, the same thing can be said for fishing. After the three previuos trips saw decent fishing the folks from Carteret Elks saw the slower side of it. We had tremendous conditions in the morning on our first two drifts and saw very little life, so we went into search mode and hit a few old spots which produce some short life and some keepers.

ALP 35 EDISON WAS ABAORD TODAY. FISHING WAS NOT AS GOOD AS THE LAST TWO DAYS DESPITE EXCELLENT CONDITIONS IN THE MORNING. WE MANAGED TO LAND 16 KEEPERS AND 40 SHORTS. HUSBAND AND WIFE, BUTCH AND DIANE WILSON BOTH HAD LIMITS AND RAY DEOCAMPO FROM SAYREVILLE WON THE POOL. 3.8 LBS
