Friday morning 6/9 we had Mike Zincraft gang out, saw some action in the back bay until we lost conditions. Forced to travel east to find a drift and a pick of keepers with decent short life. Ended the day with 11 keepers and 30 shorts. Mack and Earl tied the for the pool 3.5 lbs each.
Friday night we had a few no shows so we sailed with 5 people that showed ended the night with 6 keepers and 10 shorts. Pool winner Dave Nelson Middletown. Favian Leon had his limit.
Saturday 6/10 We sailed open today. We started with decent conditions but didn’t see the product like we have been. Hit a few spots in the back than had to head east and spent the rest of the day on the knoll. The tide finally overtook the wind and we started to see some product. Mike Lee had his limit and Austin Miller won the pool with a 3.3 pounder. Chris Authur and Navin also added to the box. Overall it was a slow pick with the best fishing late in the afternoon.
Magic Hour Saturday 6/11 We started out with conditions that were too fast, as the drift slowed with winnd changed with the approaching strom, so we than had zero drift. Ran back home to find the wind swung around in our favor. We picked away at keepers ending the night with 14 and about 15 shorts. It could be worse but it can always be better. Ziyad Dean from the South River with a 3lb 5oz fluke.
